Parents! WW Open House will be March 30th at 6p.m. Several fourth grade teachers, including myself, will be attending the National Science Teachers Conference on that same day. Volunteers Needed EVERY MONDAY! We need two more volunteers for Monday a.m. psychomotor from 8:10 – 9:10. Please come out and enjoy the great outdoors! WE REALLY NEED HELP!
April 3rd we have a field trip to Olivas Adobe in Ventura County. Several field trip slips have not yet been turned in. This is the Monday after a three-day weekend. Please remember to send snack, water bottle and a lunch. We will be back to school by 2:30.
Spring Sing is May 3rd. All fourth grade classes will be singing.

1) Extreme Settings.
Essential Question: How does a challenging setting or physical environment change a person?
Content Framing Question: How does Hatchet build knowledge of how to survive in an extreme setting?
Craft Question: Students use evidence from text to reflect on the overall importance of the text. Hatchet quiz on Thursday, March 30th.
2) Small group work creating skit from Hatchet.
3) Figurative Language.
Math. Begin Module 6. Topic A. Using fractions to explore tenths. Expressing a fraction with denominator 10 as an equivalent fraction with denominator 100. Tests from Module 5 go home on Monday, March 27th. Correct and return them by Thursday of this week.
Social Studies. Rancheros.
Science. Continuation of Investigation 2. The force of magnestism. Magnetic fields. What happens to the force of attraction between two magnets as the distance between them changes? Science Quiz, Investigation 2, Thursday, March 30th.
Music. 8:10 – 8:40 Tuesday
Physical Education. Psychomotor on Monday - we need volunteers to help from 8:05 - 9:10. Class on Wednesday from 10:40 - 11:15.
