Books and Blankets on March 3rd was a huge success.  Thank you to the many parents that attended and read with all of the children.

March 10.  Fourth Grade Gold Rush Day at Welby Way.  Volunteer information went home last week with your child.  Thanks to all of our volunteers.

Language Arts.  Reading and Writing from the Extreme Settings Great Minds program.  Core Literature:  Hatchet by Gary Paulsen.  Focus Question: How does setting influence character and plot development?  This week we focus on understanding Brian’s moods, vocabulary, and the narrative assignment.

Writing. Narrative from Extreme Settings.

Eureka Math:    Fractions.   Lessons 23 - 27. Mid-Module to go home on Wednesday.  Test scores were great!

Science.  Energy.  Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) FOSS Energy Module. We will explore electromagnetism, light, collisions, and waves.  Building an understanding that energy is evident when there is motion, electric current, sound, light, or heat, and that energy can travel from place to place. 

Social Studies.   Missions.  Students finish their Mission slide project and take a quiz on Wednesday.

Music.  8:10 – 8:40 Tuesday

Physical Education.  Psychomotor on Monday - we need volunteers to help from 8:05 - 9:00.  Class on Wednesday from 10:40 - 11:15.
